Beavers in Escalante and other weekend wanderings

This weekend was spent wandering Koosharem, Torrey, Boulder and Escalante with the Cochrans. We loved the Beaver Festival at the Petrified Forest State Park where we did all things beaver without actually seeing a real live beaver. Thank you to Michelle & Corey for putting up with us inviting ourselves on your adventure... just wish our daughter wouldn't have been too cool and too busy to come along.

Hogle Zoo

We went to the Hogle Zoo with the Thompson's and Graham. I hadn't been in a couple years and was so happy to see the new exhibits and animals. I still miss the drunken hippo but I will accept the fact that he is in a better place and will likely not be replaced due to hippos' wild partying ways. My grainy pictures are compliments of my phone... can't seem to remember my camera lately.

LOTOJA 2012 - Jackson Hole

Joel after a long day of riding. I didn't remember my camera (I am doing that too much lately!!) and I was busy at each feed zone feeding this crazy man so I don't have any pictures of him in his cycling mode. A few phone pics of the post race weekend will have to do.

Our lovely view of the resort, the other side of the mountain was on fire and we were crossing our fingers we would still have the same view in the morning... too many fires this summer

I love Jackson Hole so much, the cowboy coolness and even the kitschness  make me happy

Me enjoying the Fall Arts Festival /Taste of the Tetons, we got to have the best food in small bites at different tents around town square, not a bad way to cap off the weekend.
