Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat Pray Love, was such a great book. I was a little overwhelmed by her half way through and thought it was getting to be too negative and self defeating then she has a break through and the journey continues with inspiration and self mastery and discovery.

Missing Florida

I am done with cold and am really missing Florida. I know the grass is always greener (and in this case it is literally true) but I am seriously having some wander lust and it involves living somewhere near the ocean and with a lot warmer temperatures!

Big Stone Gap / Big Cherry Holler

I may need a life, but reading seems to be all I want to do lately...
These two books were fun for me to read due to the connection of two places that I want to go that are so unrelated, Virginia (born there but don't remember it) and Italy (who doesn't want to go to Italy:)). A great view of a woman's struggle with her happiness and understanding of life and how they both need not be taken for granted.

The Zookeeper's Wife

"After their zoo was bombed, Polish zookeepers Jan and Antonia Zabinski managed to save over three hundred people from the Nazis by hiding refugees in the empty animal cages. With animal names for these "guests", and human names for the animals, it's no wonder that the zoo's code name became "The house Under a Crazy Star"."
This is an heart breaking and inspiring book, I can't imagine how people manage to survive in the conditions brought on by such a terrible war and time in history.

Magdeline Jane Redmond

Sheridan and Ryan welcomed Magdeline Jane Redmond today. She made quite an entrance involving some nail biting moments for both her and Sheridan, both are doing fine now :)

Valerie Sofia Manago

Sarah and Mike became parents last week with the arrival of Valerie Sofia Manago! She is so beautiful and fun to hold. Well worth the drive to see them, not to mention they provided a little Scottsdale sunshine to sweeten the deal :)

New Year's Eve

The Cochran's hosted us in Saint George for New Year's, we got a little wild at midnight by going straight to sleep.

Great Book!

Elicia gave me this book for Christmas and I loved it! It is a mystery that keeps you guessing and wondering the entire way. A very good read!

More Christmas morning...

Here are some action shots of gift opening. My favorite is the teary eyed Gray with her new phone.
