We went to Lehman Caves and took a tour. It was really cool to hear the Park Ranger or "Policeman" as the boys called him, tell the history of the cave. Boy scouts used to camp inside and there have been dances and meetings held there by all sorts of clubs.
Breakfast by the fire was the favorite meal. The kids had their eggies and "coffee" or hot cocoa if you want to call it what it is. Joel is a great cook and he really took care of us on this trip.
Here are the boys monkeying around. Holden biffed it by the river behind our site and has a lovely blue goose egg. He also fell the day before into the banister and has a blue top of his ear. That boy never slows down, not even if he is bleeding.
Gray, Ridge and Holden roasted hot dogs and made smores. They enjoyed making a lot more than eating, what kid doesn't like smores!? apparently my children.
It is hard to believe that with Joel and I as parents the twins have never been camping. Well this weekend we have changed that, and thankfully we had a great time and Holden is still alive.
